The Original Prayer to St.
Michael
The design of
this writing differs from the others significantly. Rather than provide
detailed narratives within the text proper, we have chosen to elaborate by way
of the hyperlinks to the other writings written to date.
What follows
are a few of the more prominent public and private prophecies regarding the
times in which we live, with the above mentioned embedded hyperlinks to the
other writings which serve to elaborate on specific points contained therein.
Daniel 12
"At that
time there shall arise Michael, the great prince, guardian of your people; It shall be a
time unsurpassed in distress since nations began until that time. At that time your people shall escape, everyone who is found written in the book. Many of those who sleep
in the dust of the earth shall awake; some shall live forever, others shall be
an everlasting horror and disgrace. But the wise shall shine brightly like the
splendor of the firmament, And those who lead
the many to
justice shall be like the stars forever. "As for you, Daniel, keep secret
the message and seal the book until the end time; many shall fall away and evil
shall increase."
I, Daniel,
looked and saw two others, one standing on either bank of the river. One of
them said to the man clothed in linen, who was upstream, "How long shall
it be to the end of these appalling things?" The man clothed in linen, who
was upstream, lifted his right and left hands to heaven; and I heard him swear
by him who lives forever that it should be for a year, two years, a half-year;
and that, when the power of the destroyer of the holy people was brought to an
end, all these things should end. I heard, but I did not understand; so I
asked, "My lord, what follows this?" "Go, Daniel," he said,
"because the words are to be kept secret and sealed until the end time. Many shall be refined,
purified, and tested, but the wicked shall prove wicked; none of them shall
have understanding, but the wise shall have it. From the time
that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the horrible abomination is set up, there shall be
one thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is the man who has patience and
perseveres until the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. Go, take
your rest, you shall rise for your reward at the end of days."
Pope Leo XIII
On October 13,
1884 Leo XIII had just completed a celebration of Mass in one of the Vatican's private chapels. Standing at the foot of the
altar, he suddenly turned ashen and collapsed to the floor, apparently the
victim of a stroke or heart attack. However, neither malady was the cause of
his collapse. For he had just been given a vision of the future of the Church
he loved so much. After a few minutes spent in what seemed like a coma, he
revived and remarked to those around him, "Oh, what a horrible picture I
was permitted to see!"
What Leo XIII
apparently saw, as described later by those who talked to him at the time of
his vision, was a period of about one hundred years when the power of Satan
would reach its zenith. That period
was to be the twentieth century. Leo was so
shaken by the spectre of the destruction of moral and
spiritual values both inside and outside the Church, that he composed the
following prayer.
Original Prayer to St. Michael
The following
St. Michael’s Prayer is the original version as written by Pope Leo XIII. It is
taken from The Raccolta, twelfth edition, published
by Burnes, Oates & Washbourne
Ltd., publishers to the Holy See, London, 1935, originally published in the
Roman Raccolta of July 23, 1898, and a supplement approved
July 31, 1902:
"O
Glorious Archangel St. Michael, Prince of the heavenly host, be our defense in
the terrible warfare which we carry on against principalities and powers,
against the rulers of this world of darkness, spirits of evil. Come to the aid
of man, whom God created immortal, made in His own image and likeness, and
redeemed at a great price from the tyranny of the devil.
Fight this day
the battle of the Lord, together with the holy angels, as already thou hast
fought the leader of the proud angels, Lucifer, and his apostate host, who were
powerless to resist thee, nor was there place for them any longer in heaven.
That cruel, that ancient serpent, who is called the
devil or Satan who seduces the whole world, was cast into the abyss with his
angels. Behold, this primeval enemy and slayer of men
has taken courage. Transformed into an angel of light, he wanders about with
all the multitude of wicked spirits, invading the earth in order to blot out
the name of God and of His Christ, to seize upon, slay and cast into eternal
perdition souls destined for the crown of eternal glory. This wicked dragon
pours out, as a most impure flood, the venom of his malice on men of depraved
mind and corrupt heart, the spirit of lying, of impiety, of blasphemy, and the
pestilent breath of impurity, and of every vice and iniquity. These most crafty enemies have filled and inebriated
with gall and bitterness the Church, the spouse of the immaculate Lamb, and
have laid impious hands on her most sacred possessions. In the Holy Place itself,
where has been set up the See of the most holy Peter and the Chair of Truth
for the light of the world, they have raised the throne of their abominable
impiety, with the iniquitous design that when the Pastor has been
struck, the sheep may be scattered.…
Arise then, O invincible Prince,
bring help against the attacks of the lost spirits to the people of God, and
give them the victory. They venerate thee as their protector and patron; in
thee holy Church glories as her defense against the malicious power of hell; to
thee has God entrusted the souls of men to be established in heavenly
beatitude. Oh, pray to the God of peace that He may put Satan under our feet,
so far conquered that he may no longer be able to hold men in captivity and
harm the Church. Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that they
may quickly conciliate the mercies of the Lord; and beating down the dragon,
the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, do thou again make him captive
in the abyss, that he may no longer seduce the nations. Amen.
Verse: Behold the Cross of the
Lord; be scattered ye hostile powers.
Response: The Lion of the tribe of
Juda has conquered the root of David.

deign to help us against Satan and all other unclean spirits, who wander about
the world for the injury of the human race and the ruin of souls. Amen."
Father Tomislav
Vlasic's Letter to Pope John Paul II
In his letter
to the Pope, Tomislav Vlasic reports on the
revelations which Mirjana received in Medjugorje, Croatia
in 1982 and has trusted to him on November 5th 1983. The letter reads as
follows:
"After the
apparition of the Blessed Virgin on November 30, 1983, Maria Pavlovic came to me and said, 'The Madonna says that the
Supreme Pontiff and the Bishop must be advised immediately of the urgency and
great importance of the message of Medjugorje.
This letter
seeks to fulfill that duty.
1. Five young
people (Vicka Ivankovic,
Maria Pavlovic, Ivanka Ivankovic, Ivan Dragicevic, and Jakov Colo) see an apparition of
the Blessed Virgin every day. The experience in which they see her is a fact
that can be checked by direct observation. It has been filmed. During the
apparitions, the youngsters do not react to light, they do not hear sounds,
they do not react if someone touches them, they feel
that they are beyond time and space.
All of the
youngsters basically agree that:

"We see the Blessed Virgin just as we see anyone else. We pray with her, we speak to her, and we can touch her." |

"The Blessed Virgin says that world peace is at a critical stage. She repeatedly calls for reconciliation and conversion." |

She has promised to leave a visible sign for all humanity at the site of the apparitions of Medjugorje." |

"The Blessed Virgin has promised to disclose ten secrets to us. So far, Vicka Ivankovic has received eight. Marija Pavlovic received the ninth one on December 8, 1983. Jakov Colo, Ivan Dragicevic and Ivanka Ivankovic have each received nine. Only Mirjana Dragicevic has received all ten." |

"These apparitions are the last apparitions of the Blessed Virgin on earth. That is why they are lasting so long and occurring so frequently." |
2. The Blessed
Virgin no longer appears to Mirjana Dragicevic. The
last time she saw one of the daily apparitions was Christmas 1982. Since then
the apparitions have ceased for her, except on her birthday (March 18, 1983).
Mirjana knew that this would occur.
According to
Mirjana, the Madonna confided the tenth and last secret to her during the
apparition on December 25, 1982. She also disclosed the dates on which the
different secrets will come to pass. The Blessed Virgin has revealed to Mirjana
many things about the future, more than to any of the other youngsters so far.
For that reason I am reporting below what Mirjana told me during our
conversation on November 5, 1983. I am summarizing the substance of her
account, without word-for-word quotations:

Mirjana said that before the visible sign is given to humanity, there will be three warnings to the world. The warnings will be in the form of events on earth. Mirjana will be a witness to them. Three days before one of the admonitions, Mirjana will notify a priest of her choice. The witness of Mirjana will be a confirmation of the apparitions and a stimulus for the conversion of the world. |

After the admonitions, the visible sign will appear on the site of the apparitions in Medjugorje for all the world to see. The sign will be given as a testimony to the apparitions and in order to call the people back to the faith. |

|
|
The ninth and
tenth secrets are serious. They concern chastisement for the sins of the
world. Punishment is inevitable, for we cannot expect the whole
world to be converted. The punishment can be diminished by prayer and
penance, but it cannot be eliminated. Mirjana says that one of the evils that
threatened the world, the one contained in the seventh secret, has been
averted, thanks to prayer and fasting. That is why the Blessed Virgin
continues to encourage prayer and fasting: "You have forgotten that through prayer and fasting you can avert war and suspend the laws of nature." |

After the first admonition, the others will follow in a rather short time. Thus, people will have some time for conversion. |
|
|
|
That interval will be a period of grace and conversion. After the visible sign appears, those who are still alive will have little time for conversion. For that reason, the Blessed Virgin invites us to urgent conversion and reconciliation. |

|
|
The invitation to prayer and penance is meant to avert evil and war, but most of all to save souls. |
|
|
|
According to
Mirjana, the events predicted by the Blessed Virgin are near.
By virtue of this experience, Mirjana proclaims to
the world: "Hurry, be converted; open your heart to God." |
In addition to
this basic message, Mirjana related an apparition she had in 1982, which we
believe sheds some light on some aspects of Church history. She spoke of an
apparition in which Satan appeared to her disguised as
the Blessed Virgin. Satan asked Mirjana to renounce the Madonna and follow him.
That way she could be happy in love and in life. He said that following the
Virgin, on the contrary, would only lead to suffering. Mirjana rejected him,
and immediately the Virgin arrived and Satan disappeared. Then the Blessed
Virgin gave her the following message in substance:
"Excuse me
for this, but you must realize that Satan exists. One day he appeared before
the throne of God and asked permission to submit the Church to a period of
trial. God gave him permission to try the Church for one century. This century
is under the power of the devil; but when the secrets confided to you come to
pass, his power will be destroyed. Even now he is beginning to lose his power
and has become aggressive. He is destroying marriages, creating divisions among
priests and is responsible for obsessions and murder. You must protect
yourselves against these things through fasting and prayer, especially
community prayer. Carry blessed objects with you. Put them in your house, and
restore the use of holy water."
According to
certain Catholic experts who have studied these apparitions, this message of
Mirjana may shed light on the vision Pope Leo XIII had. According to them, it was
after having had an apocalyptic vision of the future of the Church that Leo
XIII introduced the prayer to Saint Michael which priests used to recite after
Mass up to the time of the Second Vatican Council. These experts say that the
century of trials foreseen by Leo XIII is about to end.
Holy Father, I
do not want to be responsible for the ruin of anyone. I am doing my best. The
world is being called to conversion and reconciliation. In writing to you, Holy
Father, I am doing, only doing, my duty. After
drafting this letter, I gave it to the youngsters so that they might ask the
Blessed Virgin whether its contents are accurate. Ivan Dragicevic
relayed the following answer: 'Yes, the contents of the letter are the truth.
You must notify first the Supreme Pontiff and then the Bishop.'
This letter is
accompanied by fasting and prayers that the Holy Spirit will guide your mind
and your heart during this important moment in history."

Medjugorje, December 2, 1983 (1)
Our Lady of LaSalette - Approved
On September
19, 1846 the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to two children in LaSalette, France,
Melanie Calvat and Maximin Giraud. Although the Church has approved the
apparition, it is overlooked too often today. The message is stated below in
its entirety because of its great relevance for our day.
"Melanie,
what I am about to tell you now will not always be a secret. You may make it
public in 1858.
"The priests, ministers of my Son, the priests, by their wicked lives, by
their irreverence and their impiety in the celebration of the holy mysteries,
by their love of money, their love of honors and pleasures, the priests have
become cesspools of impurity. Yes, the priests are asking for vengeance, and
vengeance is hanging over their heads. Woe to the priests and to those
dedicated to God who by their unfaithfulness and their wicked lives are crucifying my Son again! The
sins of those dedicated to God cry out towards Heaven and call for vengeance,
and now vengeance is at their door, for there is no one left to beg mercy and
forgiveness for the people. There are no more generous souls,
there is no one left worthy of offering a stainless sacrifice to the Eternal
God for the sake of the world.
"God will strike in an unprecedented way. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth! God will exhaust His
wrath upon them, and no one will be able to escape so many afflictions
together. The chiefs, the leaders of the people of God have neglected prayer
and penance, and the devil has bedimmed their intelligence. They have become
wandering stars which the old devil will drag along with his tail to make them
perish. God will allow the old serpent to cause divisions among those who reign
in every society and in every family. Physical and moral agonies will be
suffered. God will abandon mankind to itself and will send punishments which
will follow one after the other for more than thirty-five years.
"The society of men is on the eve of the most
terrible scourges and of gravest events. Mankind must expect to be ruled with
an iron rod and to drink from the chalice of the wrath of God. May the curate
of my Son, Pope Pius IX, never leave Rome again after 1859; may he, however, be
steadfast and noble, may he fight with the weapons of faith and love. I will be
at his side. May he be on his guard against Napoleon: he is two-faced, and when
he wishes to make himself Pope as well as Emperor, God will soon draw back from
him. He is the master-mind who, always wanting to
ascend further, will fall on the sword he wished to
use to force his people to be raised up.
"Italy will be punished for her ambition in wanting to shake off the yoke
of the Lord of Lords. And so she will be left to fight a war; blood will flow
on all sides. Churches will be locked up or
desecrated. Priests and religious orders will be hunted down, and made to die a
cruel death. Several will abandon the faith, and a
great number of priests and members of religious orders will break away from
the true religion; among these people there will even be bishops.
"May the Pope guard against the performers of miracles. For the time has come when the
most astonishing wonders will
take place on the earth and in the air.
"In the year 1864, Lucifer together with a large
number of demons will be unloosed from hell; they will put an end to faith
little by little, even in those dedicated to God. They will blind them in such
a way, that, unless they are blessed with a special grace, these people will take
on the spirit of these angels of hell; several religious institutions will lose
all faith and will lose many souls.
"Evil books will be abundant on earth and the
spirits of darkness will spread everywhere a universal slackening in all that
concerns the service of God. They will have great power over nature: there will
be churches built to serve these spirits. People will be transported from one
place to another by these evil spirits, even priests, for they will not have
been guided by the good spirit of the Gospel, which is a spirit of humility,
charity and zeal for the glory of God. On occasions, the dead and the righteous
will be brought back to life. (That is to say that these dead will take on the
form of righteous souls which had lived on earth, in order to lead men further
astray; these so-called resurrected dead, who will be nothing but the devil in
this form, will preach another gospel contrary to that of the true Christ
Jesus, denying the existence of Heaven; that is also to say, the souls of the
damned. All these souls will appear as if fixed to their bodies).
"...The Vicar of my Son will suffer a great deal, because for a while the Church will yield to large
persecution, a time of darkness, and the Church will witness a frightful crisis. The true faith of the Lord having been forgotten, each
individual will want to be on his own and be superior to people of the same
identity. They will abolish civil rights as well as ecclesiastical, all order
and all justice would be trampled underfoot and only homicides, hate, jealousy,
lies and dissension would be seen without love for country or family.
"The Holy Father will suffer a great deal. I will
be with him until the end and receive his sacrifice. [Note: Father Gobbi uses this exact term to indicate the
present Pope, John Paul II.] The mischievous
would attempt his life several times to do harm and shorten his days but neither he nor his successor will see the triumph of the
Church of God.
"All the civil governments will have one and the
same plan, which will be to abolish and do away with every religious principle,
to make way for materialism, atheism, spiritualism and vice of all kinds. In
the year 1865, there will be desecration of holy places. In convents, the devil
will make himself like the king of all hearts. May those in charge of religious
communities be on their guard against the people they must receive, for the
devil will resort to all his evil tricks to introduce sinners in to religious
orders, for disorder and the love of carnal pleasures will be spread all over
the earth.
"...France, Italy, Spain and England will be at war. Blood will flow in
the streets. Frenchman will fight Frenchman, Italian will fight Italian. A
general war will follow which will be appalling. For a time, God will cease to
remember France and Italy because the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been
forgotten. The wicked will make use of all their evil ways. Men will kill each other, massacre each other even in their homes. At the first blow of His thundering sword, the mountains and
all nature will tremble in terror, for the
disorders and crimes of men have pierced the vault of the heavens. Paris will
burn and Marseille will be engulfed. Several cities will be shaken down and
swallowed up by earthquakes. People will believe that all is lost. Nothing will
be seen but murder, nothing will be heard but the clash of arms and blasphemy.
"The righteous will suffer greatly. Their prayers, their penances and
their tears will rise up to Heaven and all of God's people will beg for forgiveness
and mercy and will plead for my help and intercession. And then Jesus Christ,
in an act of His justice and His great mercy will command His angels to have
all His enemies put to death. Suddenly, the persecutors of the Church of Jesus
Christ and all those given over to sin will perish and the earth will become
desert-like. And then peace will be made, and man will be reconciled with God.
Jesus Christ will be served, worshipped, and glorified. Charity will flourish
everywhere. The new kings will be the right arm of the holy Church, which will
be strong, humble, pious, poor but fervent in its imitation of the virtues of
Jesus Christ. The Gospel will be preached everywhere and mankind will make
great progress in its faith, for there will be unity among the workers of Jesus
Christ and man will live in fear of God.
"This peace among men will be short-lived. Twenty-five years of plentiful
harvests will make them forget that the sins of men are the cause of all the
troubles on this earth. A forerunner of the Antichrist, with his troops
gathered from several nations, will fight against the true Christ, the only Saviour of the world. He will shed much blood and will want
to annihilate the worship of God to make himself be looked upon as a God.
"The earth will be struck by calamities of all
kinds (in addition to plague and famine which will be widespread). There will be a series of wars until the last war, which
will then be fought by the ten kings of the Antichrist, all of whom will have one and the same plan and will be the
only rulers of the world. Before this comes to pass, there will be a kind of
false peace in the world. People will think of nothing but amusement. The wicked will
give themselves over to all kinds of sin. But the children of the holy Church,
the children of my faith, my true followers, they will grow in their love for
God and in all the virtues most precious to me. Blessed are the souls humbly
guided by the Holy Spirit! I shall fight at their side until they reach a
fullness of years.
"Nature is asking for vengeance because of man, and she trembles with
dread at what must happen to the earth stained with crime. Tremble, earth, and
you who proclaim yourselves as serving Jesus Christ and who, on the inside,
only adore yourselves, tremble, for God will hand you over to His enemy because
the holy places are in a state of corruption.... It will be during this time
that the Antichrist will be born of a Hebrew nun, a false virgin who will
communicate with the old serpent, the master of impurity, his father will be B.
At birth, he will spew out blasphemy; he will have teeth, in a word, he will be
the devil incarnate. He will scream horribly, he will perform wonders, he will feed on nothing but impurity. He will have
brothers who, although not devils incarnate like him, will be children of evil.
At the age of twelve, they will draw attention upon themselves by the gallant
victories they will have won; soon they will each lead armies,
aided by the legions of hell.
"The
seasons will be altered, the earth will produce nothing but bad fruit, the
stars will lose their regular motion, the moon will
only reflect a faint reddish glow. Water and fire will give the earth's globe convulsions
and terrible earthquakes which will swallow up mountains, cities…Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the
Antichrist.
"The demons of the air together with the Antichrist will perform great
wonders on earth and in the atmosphere, and men will become more and more
perverted. God will take care of his faithful servants and men of good
will. The Gospel will be preached
everywhere, and all peoples of all nations will get to know the truth.
"I make an urgent appeal to the earth. I call on
the true disciples of the Heaven; I call on the true followers of Christ made
man, the only true Savior of men; living God who reigns in I call on my
children, the true faithful, those who have given themselves to me, so that I
may lead them to my divine Son.... Finally, I call on the Apostles of the Last
Days, the faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who have lived in scorn for the
world and for themselves, in poverty and in humility, in scorn and in silence,
in prayer and in mortification, in chastity and in union with God, in suffering
and unknown to the world. It is time they came out and filled the world with
light. Go and reveal yourselves to be my cherished
children. I am at your side and within you, provided that your faith is the
light which shines upon you in these unhappy days. May your zeal make you
famished for the glory and the honor of Jesus Christ.
Fight, children of light, you, the few who can see. For now is the time of all
times, the end of all ends.
"The Church
will be in eclipse, the world will be in dismay. But now Enoch and Eli will
come, filled with the Spirit of God. They will preach with the might
of God, and men of good will believe in God, and many souls will be comforted.
They will make great steps forward through the virtue of the Holy Spirit and
will condemn the devilish lapses of the Antichrist. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth! There will be bloody
wars and famines, plagues and
infectious diseases. It will rain with a fearful hail of animals. There will be
thunderstorms which will shake cities, earthquakes which will swallow up
countries. Voices will be heard in the air. Men will beat their heads
against walls, call for their death, and on another side death will be their
torment. Blood will flow on all sides. Who will be the victor if God does not
shorten the length of the test? All the blood, the tears and the prayers of the
righteous, God will relent. Enoch and Eli will be put to death. Pagan Rome will
disappear. The fire of Heaven will fall and consume three cities. All the universe will be struck with terror and many will
let themselves be led astray because they have not worshipped the true Christ
who lives among them. It is time; the sun is darkening; only faith will
survive.
"...Now is the time; the abyss is opening. Here
is the king of kings of darkness, here is the Beast
with his subjects, calling himself the Savior of the world. He will rise
proudly into the air to go to Heaven. He will be smothered by the breath of the
Archangel Saint Michael. He will fall, and the earth, which will have been in a
continuous series of evolutions for three days, will open up its fiery bowels;
and he will have plunged for eternity with all his followers into the
everlasting chasms of hell. And then water and
fire will purge the earth and consume all the works of men's pride and all will be renewed. God will be served and
glorified." (2)
St. John Bosco
St. John Bosco
is famous not only for forming the Salesian Society, and working with poor
boys, but he is also famous for his prophetic dreams.
In 1862, he had the following dream:
"Imagine yourselves to
be with me on the seashore, or better, on an isolated rock and not to see any
patch of land other than what is under your feet. On the whole of that vast
sheet of water you see an innumerable fleet of ships in battle array. The prows
of the ships are formed into sharp, spearlike pints
so that wherever they are thrust they pierce and completely destroy. These
ships are armed with cannons, with lots of rifles, with incendiary materials,
with other arms of all kinds, and also with books, and they advance against a
ship very much bigger and higher than themselves and try to dash against it
with the prows or to burn it or in some way to do it every possible harm.
As escorts to that majestic fully equipped ship, there are many smaller
ships, which receive commands by signal and carry out movements to defend
themselves from the opposing fleet.
In the midst of the immense expanse of the sea, two mighty columns of great
height arise a little distance the one from the other. On the top of one, there
is the statue of the Immaculate Virgin, from whose feet hangs a large placard
with this inscription: Auxilium Christianorum--"Help
of Christians"; on the other, which is much higher and bigger, stands a
Host of great size and proportionate to the column and beneath is another
placard with the words: Salus Credentium--"Salvation
of the Faithful".
The supreme commander on the big ship is the sovereign Pontiff. He, on
seeing the fury of the enemies and the evils among which his faithful find
themselves, determines to summon around himself the captains of the smaller
ships to hold a council and decide on what is to be done.
All the captains come aboard and gather around the Pope. They hold a
meeting, but meanwhile the wind and the waves gather in storm, so they are sent
back to control their own ships.
There comes a short lull; for a second time the Pope gathers the captains
together around him, while the flagship goes on its course. But the frightful
storm returns.
The Pope stands at the helm and all his energies are directed to steering the
ship towards those two columns, from the top of which and from every side of
which are hanging numerous anchors and big hooks, fastened to chains.
All the enemy ships move to attack it, and they try in every way to stop it
and to sink it: some with writings or books or
inflammable materials, of which they are full; others with guns, with rifles and with
rams. The battle rages ever more relentlessly. The enemy prows thrust
violently, but their efforts and impact prove useless. They make attempts in
vain and waste all their labor and ammunition; the big ship goes safely and
smoothly on its way. Sometimes it happens that, struck by formidable blows, it
gets large, deep gaps in its sides; but no sooner is the harm done that a gentle
breeze blows from the two columns and the cracks close up and the gaps are
stopped immediately.
Meanwhile, the guns of the assailants are blown up, the rifles and other
arms and prows are broken; many ships are shattered and sink into the sea.
Then, the frenzied enemies strive to fight hand to hand, with fists, with
blows, with blasphemy and with curses.
All at once the Pope falls gravely wounded.
Immediately, those who are with him run to help him and they lift him up.
A second time the Pope is struck, he falls again and
dies. A shout of victory and of joy rings out
amongst the enemies; from their ships an unspeakable mockery arises.
But hardly is the Pontiff dead than another Pope takes his place. The Pilots,
having met together, have elected the Pope so promptly that the news of the
death of the Pope coincides with the news of the election of the successor. The
adversaries begin to lose courage.
The new Pope, putting the enemy to rout and overcoming every obstacle, guides
the ship right up to the two columns and comes to rest between them; he makes
it fast with a light chain that hangs from the bow to an anchor of the column
on which stands the Host; and with another light chain which hangs from the
stern, he fastens it at the opposite end to another anchor hanging from the
column on which stands the Immaculate Virgin.
Then a great convulsion takes place. All the ships that until then had
fought against the Pope's ship are scattered; they flee away, collide and break
to pieces one against another. Some sink and try to sink others. Several small
ships that had fought gallantly for the Pope race to be the first to bind
themselves to those two columns.
Many other ships, having retreated through fear of the battle, cautiously watch
from far away: the wrecks of the broken ships having been scattered in the
whirlpools of the sea, they in their turn sail in good earnest to those two
columns, and, having reached them, they make themselves fast to the hooks
hanging down from them and there they remain safe, together with the principle
ship, on which is the Pope. Over the sea there reigns a great calm."
At
this point Don Bosco asked Don Rua:
"What do you think of the story?"
Don Rua answered:
"It seems to me that the Pope's ship might mean the Church, of which he is
the head: the ships, men; the sea, this world. those
who defend the big ship are the good, lovingly attached to the Holy See; the
others are her enemies, who try with every kind of weapon to annihilate her.
The two columns of salvation seem to be devotion to
Mary Most Holy and to the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist."
Don Rua did not speak of the
Pope who fell and died, and Don Bosco also was silent about him. He simply
added: "You are right! Only I ought to correct one expression. The enemy
ships are persecutions. The most serious trials for the Church are near at hand. That which has been so far
is almost nothing in the face of that which must befall. Her enemies are
represented by the ships that tried to sink the principle ship if they could.
Only two means are left to save her amidst so much
confusion: DEVOTION TO MARY MOST HOLY and FREQUENT COMMUNION, making use of
every means and doing our best to practice them and having them practiced
everywhere and by everybody." (3)

Our Lady of All Nations - Approved
June 9, 1946
"Suddenly I see a cardinal’s hat lying before me. Around the
hat are ribbons which hang down. On it an X-sign appears as if that hat would
be crossed out. I hear the Lady say,
'There will be
a struggle in Rome against the Pope.'
I see lots of
bishops sitting around the Pope, and then I hear,
'Catastrophic.'
Then the Lady
goes away."

August 30, 1947
"Then all
of a sudden I see a large room in the Vatican, and the Pope is seated there.
Something seems to be going on in the Vatican. The Lady says,
'Secret
meetings are being held there. This is happening several times. They assemble
in secret.'
The Lady points
at somebody, and I am given to understand: that is an envoy from America. In
front of the Pope there are all sorts of papers. The Lady says,
'The Pope is
kept informed of everything. He is completely informed about what is going to
happen.
It is said that there is peace, but in reality it is not so. It is all
camouflage before the world.'
Then twice I
have to move my right hand over my left, and I hear,
'That will
happen twice.' ….
And I see a
kind of point of time."
(Note: It would
appear as though this refers to the prophesized false peace accord(s) between
Israel and the Arabs. As of this writing, there has been only one significant
Peace Agreement executed between the State of Israel and the
Palestinians/Arabs. That was the Oslo II - Peace and Security Agreement
executed on September 13, 1993. At the date of this writing (July 2002), the
parties are working towards the Second such "peace agreement".)

Revelation 11 - 12
"Then
God's temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in
the temple. There were flashes of lightning,
rumblings, and peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a violent hailstorm.
A great sign
appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her
feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed
aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. Then another sign appeared in the
sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads
were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and
hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to
give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth. She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to
rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to
God and his throne.
The woman
herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that there she might be
taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days.
Then war broke
out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the
dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, but they did not prevail and
there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The huge dragon, the ancient
serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who
deceived the whole world, was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown
down with it.
Then I heard a
loud voice in heaven say: "Now have salvation and power come, and the
kingdom of our God and the authority of his Anointed. For the
accuser of our brothers is cast out, who accuses them before our God day and
night. They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of
their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death. Therefore, rejoice, you heavens, and you who dwell in them. But woe to
you, earth and sea, for the Devil has come down to you in great fury, for he
knows he has but a short time."
When the dragon
saw that it had been thrown down to the earth, it pursued the woman who had
given birth to the male child. But the woman was given the two wings of the great
eagle, so that she could fly to her place in the desert, where, far from
the serpent, she was taken care of for a year, two years, and a half-year. The
serpent, however, spewed a torrent of water out of his mouth after the woman to
sweep her away with the current.
But the earth
helped the woman and opened its mouth and swallowed the flood that the dragon
spewed out of its mouth. Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went
off to wage war against the rest of her offspring, those who keep God's
commandments and bear witness to Jesus. It took its position on the sand of the
sea." (Rv 11-19 through 12:17)
Revelation 13
"Then I saw
a beast come out of the sea with ten horns and seven heads; on its horns were
ten diadems, and on its heads blasphemous name (s). The
beast I saw was like a leopard, but it had feet like a bear's, and its mouth
was like the mouth of a lion. To it the dragon gave its own power and throne,
along with great authority. I saw that one of its heads seemed to have been
mortally wounded, but this mortal wound was healed. Fascinated, the whole world
followed after the beast.
They worshiped
the dragon because it gave its authority to the beast; they also worshiped the
beast and said, "Who can compare with the beast or who can fight against
it?" The beast was given a mouth uttering proud boasts and blasphemies,
and it was given authority to act for forty-two months. It opened its mouth to
utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling and those
who dwell in heaven. It was also allowed to wage war against the holy ones and
conquer them, and it was granted authority over every tribe, people, tongue,
and nation.
All the
inhabitants of the earth will worship it, all whose names were not written from
the foundation of the world in the book of life, which belongs to the Lamb who
was slain.
Whoever has
ears ought to hear these words. Anyone destined for captivity goes into
captivity. Anyone destined to be slain by the sword shall be slain by the
sword. Such is the faithful endurance of the holy ones.
Then I saw
another beast come up out of the earth; it had two horns like a lamb's but spoke like a dragon. It wielded all the
authority of the first beast in its sight and made the earth and its
inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound had been healed. It performed
great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in the sight of
everyone. It deceived the inhabitants of the earth with the signs it was
allowed to perform in the sight of the first beast, telling them to make an
image for the beast who had been wounded by the sword
and revived.
It was then
permitted to breathe life into the beast's image, so that the beast's image
could speak and (could) have anyone who did not worship it put to death. It forced all
the people, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to be given a stamped image on their right hands or their foreheads,
so that no one could buy or sell except one who had the stamped image of the
beast's name or the number that stood for its name.
Wisdom is
needed here; one who understands can calculate the number of the beast, for it
is a number that stands for a person. His number is six hundred and
sixty-six."
2 Thessalonians 2
"Now
concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to meet him,
we beg you, brethren, not to be quickly shaken in mind or
excited, either by spirit or by word, or by letter purporting to be from us, to
the effect that the day of the Lord has come. Let no one deceive you in any
way; for that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness
is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself against every
so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be
God. Do
you not remember that when I was still with you I told you this? And you know
what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of
lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one
will be revealed, and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and
destroy him by his appearing and his coming. The coming of the lawless one by
the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs and
wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are to perish, because
they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends upon them a
strong delusion, to make them believe what is false, so that all may be
condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness."

Zechariah 13
"Awake, O
sword, against my shepherd, against the man who stands next to me," says
the LORD of hosts. "Strike the shepherd, that the sheep may
be scattered; I will turn my hand against the little ones. In the whole land, says
the LORD, two thirds shall be cut off and perish, and one third shall be left
alive. And I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines
silver, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on my name, and I will
answer them. I will say, 'They are my people'; and they will say, 'The LORD is
my God.'" (Zec 13:7- 9)
Ezekiel 34
"Son of
man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, in these words prophesy to them
(to the shepherds): Thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the shepherds
of Israel who have been pasturing themselves! Should not shepherds, rather,
pasture sheep? You have fed off their milk, worn their wool, and slaughtered
the fatlings, but the sheep you have not pastured. You did not strengthen the
weak nor heal the sick nor bind up the injured. You did not bring back the
strayed nor seek the lost, but you lorded it over them
harshly and brutally.
So they were scattered for lack of a shepherd, and
became food for all the wild beasts. My sheep were scattered, and wandered over all the mountains and high hills; my
sheep were scattered over the whole earth, with no one to look after them or to
search for them.
Therefore,
shepherds, hear the word of the LORD: As I live, says the Lord GOD, because my
sheep have been given over to pillage, and because my sheep have become food
for every wild beast, for lack of a shepherd; because my shepherds did not look
after my sheep, but pastured themselves and did not pasture my sheep; because
of this, shepherds, hear the word of the LORD: Thus says the Lord GOD: I swear
I am coming against these shepherds. I will claim my sheep from them and put a
stop to their shepherding my sheep so that they may no longer pasture
themselves. I will save my sheep, that they may no
longer be food for their mouths.
For thus says
the Lord GOD: I myself will look after and tend my sheep." (Ez 34: 2-11)
The New Ark of the Covenant
"Then the
LORD said to Noah: "Go into the ark, you and all your
household, for you alone in this age have I found
to be truly just." (Gn 7:1)
Great care was
given by Noah in constructing the Ark to the specifications of Our Heavenly
Father. Later in Holy Scripture, we see great care given by both God and man
with respect to the first Ark of the Covenant. It had to be built to
specifications too, and to be pure and sanctified to carry the written word of
God. The Fathers and Doctors wrote how uniquely holier and purer the "New
Ark of the Covenant" had to be, for she carried the body of the Son of God
for nine months. The Incarnate Word could not be born in an impure vessel. (See Rv 11:19)
In the days of
Noah, Our Heavenly Father sent an Ark to spare Noah's family from the deluge;
likewise today He has sent an Ark to protect His faithful remnant from the
Great Tribulation. The Ark of today is the
safe refuge of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
In a message to
Louise Tomkiel on August 26, 1999 (4),
Jesus said: "The
ship will sail at midnight." It will not dock in familiar waters but in a
port where all is new, clean and peaceful. Make ready now for the hour of
departure is at hand.
Only My own faithful Remnant will be able to understand and discern this
statement."

An Act of Consecration to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary
I, (your name), a
faithless sinner-- renew and ratify today in thy hands, O Immaculate Mother,
the vows of my Baptism; I renounce forever Satan, his pomps
and works; and I give myself entirely to Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, to
carry my cross after Him all the days of my life, and to be more faithful to
Him than I have ever been before.
In the presence
of all the heavenly court I choose thee this day, for my Mother and Mistress. I
deliver and consecrate to thee, as thy slave, my body and soul, my goods, both
interior and exterior, and even the value of all my good actions, past, present
and future; leaving to thee the entire and full right of disposing of me, and
all that belongs to me, without exception, according to thy good pleasure, for
the greater glory of God, in time and in eternity. Amen.
An Act of Consecration to the
Sacred Heart of Jesus
Most Sacred
Heart of Jesus, Abyss of Mercy and Source of every grace and blessing, I
consecrate and unite myself to You without exception or reserve - all that I am
and all that I have, both temporal and spiritual, past present and future,
through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, your Mother.
I leave myself entirely at Your disposal with complete
confidence in Your Mercy and Love and I beg You to look upon this offering of
my nothingness before You and to use me for Your own glory, for the honor of
Your Mother and for the salvation of souls. Help me to seek You
alone in all things. Hide me in the shelter of Your Most Sacred Heart and be my
only Consolation and Refuge.
Grant me the graces I need to joyfully accept Your Cross daily, to lead a holy
life and to die a holy death in Your service. Help me
to trust completely in Your Mercy and Love and never to fear to humbly throw
myself before the infinite Ocean of mercy which is Your Most Sacred Heart,
especially at those times when I may fail in my faithfulness in Your service. Through this weak and miserable instrument,
may Your Mercy, Love, glory and power shine forth.
Above all, set my poor heart on fire with the Flame of Love which burns in Your
Most Sacred Heart, and teach me how to return love for Love. Most Sacred Heart
of Jesus, have mercy on me - for I place all my trust in You.
How To
Save Your Children
During one of
the cenacles which Fr. Gobbi held in the United States, he was urged by many
concerned people to ask Our Lady specifically what could be done to save the
youth from the seductions of the world which were leading many of them astray
and causing them to leave the Church. Our Lady gave Fr. Gobbi this definite and
final solution to console the parents who are so concerned about the salvation
of their children:

Every time you pray the Rosary say: "With this Rosary I bind all my children to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.". |

In doing so, Our Lady promised "to see to their souls.". |
The Memorare
Remember, O
most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your
protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To
you I come; before you I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word
Incarnate! Despise not my petitions, but in your mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.

"Towards
the end of the world the tyrants and the hostile people will suddenly rob the
prelates and clergy of the Church of all their possessions and grievously afflict
and martyr them. The ones who heap the most abuse upon them will be held in
high esteem. The clergy cannot escape these persecutions, but because of them
all servants of the Church will be forced to lead an apostolic life. At that
time the Pope, with the Cardinals, will have to flee Rome under trying
circumstances to a place where he will be unknown. He will die a cruel death in
this exile. The sufferings of the Church will be much greater than at any
previous time in her history…
God
will raise up a holy Pope over whom the angels will
rejoice. Enlightened by God, this man will reconstruct almost the entire world
through his holiness and lead all to the true faith, and everywhere fear of
God, virtue, and good morals will be dominant. He will lead all erring sheep
back to the fold, and there shall be only one faith, one law, one rule of life,
one baptism on earth. All men will love each other and do good, and all
quarrels and war will disappear."
